Workshop Club

The above montage features work from  Workshop Club participants. The theme for this module was graphics and we spent quite a bit of time with a great piece of free software called "inkscape". The process included taking a drawing they each produced with pen and paper, scanning it, tracing it in inkscape and then recolouring it. One format that inkscape can output in is .svg (scaleable vector graphics) which means the work can be scaled to any size and printed without any loss of quality. The results as you can see are great, vibrant pieces of artwork that can be used over and over again. Graphic Designers use this type of software to design logos, posters and vector artwork.

We have also focussed on "animation" in it's many forms click here to see one of our collaborative efforts.
