Our Community connections for families programmes aims to provide families and whanau with hands on skills in using Information and Communication Technologies to support life long learning and to encourage community connectedness.
These family focused, intergenerational programmes are suitable for families and children over 7 years old. We can design specific programmes to help up skill your community group in a particular area of interest. A tour of your local community library can also be arranged.

Writing for NCEA Exams
Good writing can make the difference between Achieved and Merit or Merit and Excellence. Come and learn some tips from the experts on how to plan and structure your writing - particularly in exam situations when you are under pressure. This is useful for levels 1 and 2 students of English, History and Economincs, their caregivers or those wanting to develop their essay writing skills.
Information Literacy Skills for NCEA
Come along and learn what resources are available on the library shelves and online, learn how to go beyond basic Google searching and find gold in the deep web.
So your child doesn’t like reading? A family reading workshop
This programme is designed to give families ideas about what to read and where to find it; learn more about favourite authors; keep up to date with the latest books; or provide help with reading for yourself or your children. Participants will discuss books and explore many helpful websites.
