Learn the skills of taking and editing photographs. Use software such as Paintshop Pro, Photostory 3 or PowerPoint to produce clever visual images.

Comic book creation


Identify important features of the verbal and visual language of cartoons and use them to create particular meanings and effects. Take and manipulate photographs,create speech bubbles and use visual art to produce your very own comic book.

Film school


Understanding who we are in the present, means delving into who we were in the past. With the aim of producing short, attention-grabbing film bites of local history, students will gain a practical understanding of the film process including researching, writing, filming using digital video cameras and editing. Combining live footage with archival resources from the Library, students will learn the keys to keeping their audience tuned in and producing a quality, informative film.

Numeracy support


For students requiring learning support across a range of mathematical concepts using a variety of strategies including multiplication and division concepts.

E-Coach


Students will be up skilled in the use of various software and media tools and then trained to pass on this knowledge successfully as a coach to others (eg peers, teachers or parents). A school based project will be the context for students to enhance their digital literacy skills, internet research skills and online communication using web 2 tools.
