Library literacy - Making the most of your community library

Gone are the days of keeping quiet between the shelves! Take a fresh look at what libraries have to offer with a tour which lets you experience the online catalogue, the self issue desk and gets you familiar with the library layout. Participation will be interactive with station based activities and a quiz.

Finding information is easy when you have the right information literacy skills. There is just too much information at our fingertips these days. We need quality, not quantity. Learn how to find what you are really looking for using Google tools, library databases and search engines. This is a great session if you have a specific topic for the class to work on.
